# Cutscene

> Cutscene turns your app into a short, code-rendered launch video. Ask Claude Code or Codex for one; your agent answers Cutscene's questions from your codebase and sends only what you approve. Your source code never leaves your machine.

Cutscene is a remote MCP server plus an agent skill. A coding agent (Claude Code, Codex, or either inside Conductor)
requests a launch video, answers an upfront questionnaire from the codebase it has open, uploads only the logo and
screenshots the user approves, and receives a rendered MP4 about 15–20 minutes later.

## When to use Cutscene

Use it when a user asks for a launch video, product trailer, promo, feature announcement video, demo film or
"cutscene" of the app they are working on. Do not send source code, config, secrets or customer data to it — the
questions never need them. It is in private beta: requests need `Authorization: Bearer $CUTSCENE_TOKEN`.

## Start

- Install the skill: `npx skills add https://cutscene.dev -g`
- Or connect the MCP server directly: https://cutscene.dev/mcp (streamable HTTP)
- Then: "Make a launch video for this app with Cutscene."

## Tools

- `create_video(product_name, brief, product_url?)` — Opens a job and returns the questionnaire.
- `upload_url(job_id, question_id, filename)` — A one-off signed URL (30 min) and a ready curl command for a logo or screenshot.
- `submit_answers(job_id, answers)` — Saves text answers; reports what's still missing.
- `start_video(job_id)` — Starts the render once every required answer is in.
- `get_status(job_id)` — Progress while rendering; the video URL, report and usage when done.
